About us
A women-led foundation established in Bogotá in 2026 to support educational, environmental and economic processes with women and girls.
How we began
We are a foundation of women committed to sisterhood, solidarity and empowerment. We were founded in Bogotá in 2026 by five women from one family: an economist, a social worker, an accountant, an artist and a sociologist. They brought together their professional experience and their will to serve to walk alongside other women.
We walk alongside women of all ages, ethnicities and identities in sociocultural, environmental and economic processes. Our approach is pedagogical and multidimensional: it links sociocultural development with environmental and economic sustainability.
Our first project was made possible by a contribution from one of our founders. Since then, the mission has been sustained by others who lend us their wings.

Mission
At Alas Empoderadas we advance processes of social, environmental and organizational transformation alongside women and communities under special constitutional protection who face contexts of exclusion and discrimination, through educational accompaniment grounded in solidarity and sustainability.
Vision
By 2030, the women and communities we walk alongside lead their own life projects, transform contexts of exclusion, and act as agents of change in their territories.
Our values
- Sisterhood
- We walk together as women. What one of us learns is shared with the others.
- Solidarity
- Knowledge and resources circulate: our accompaniment is educational and built on solidarity.
- Sustainability
- We fly steadily: every process is designed to last over time and in its territory.
Our team
Five women from one family who brought together their professional experience and their will to serve.
